KING AIR B100 The King Air began life as a turboprop designed to meet a US Army requirement for a staff/utility transport. The King Air 100 series was announced in May 1969. Compared with the 90 series it is approximately 4 feet longer, allowing greater seating capacity, and features a reduced wing span and larger rudder for greater flight performance. Piloted by a crew of 1 or 2, the King Air B100 is pressurized and can carry up to 8 passengers. The King Air B100 cruises at speeds up to 243 knots and has a range of 1,039 nautical miles.
